BinderPrince ("we") is a virtual trading-card binder at binderprince.com. This page describes what we collect and how it's used.
What we collect
- Account information. Your email address (and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the basic profile they share — email and name). We use it only to sign you in and identify your binder.
- Your binder data. The cards you add — names, sets, prices, images, trade markings, and settings. This is the product; it's stored so your binder persists.
- Trade requests. When a guest viewer sends a trade request, we store the requested card names so the binder owner can see them.
- Card photos. Photos you take to scan a card are sent for automated identification (see below) and kept as that card's image in your binder. Take photos of cards, not of people — these are stored with your binder, not treated as private images.
- Scan counts. We record how many identifications your account has run each month, and the number of tokens they used, to enforce plan limits and keep our costs predictable. This records that a scan happened, not what the card was.
- Subscription status. For paid plans we store your plan and the customer and subscription identifiers Stripe gives us. Card numbers are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.
Card photos and automated identification
When you scan a card, the photo is sent to Google's Gemini API, which reads the card and returns what it thinks the card is. The photo is transmitted for that purpose and is not sent with your name, email or account identifier attached. We use the result only to search a card catalogue and offer you matches to confirm.
Before anything is sent, the app checks the photo on your own device — finding the card, measuring contrast and focus — so a photo that won't work can be retaken without leaving your phone.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing.
- We don't show ads.
- Guest viewers browsing a shared binder are not required to create an account, and we don't collect their identity.
Who can see your binder
Your collection is private to your account. If you present your QR code or share link, guests can view your for-trade list (or your full binder only if you enable that), protected by your one-time passphrase when the ward is on.
Services we rely on
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
- Vercel — application hosting.
- PriceCharting and SportsCardsPro — card price data (card lookups are proxied; no personal information is sent).
- Google Gemini — automated card identification from the photos you scan, as described above.
- Stripe — subscription payments. Stripe collects your payment details directly under its own privacy policy; we receive only your plan and non-sensitive identifiers.
- Vercel Analytics — page view counts. It sets no cookies and does not track individuals across sites.
- Card images are loaded from public card-catalog services (e.g. Scryfall, Pokémon TCG API).
Data deletion
You can remove cards at any time in the app. You can also delete your whole account yourself: Account → Delete account. That removes your stored card photos, then your account and every binder, card, trade and usage record attached to it. It is immediate and cannot be undone.
If you would rather we did it, or you can no longer sign in, write to the address below and we'll remove it for you.
